Jodi Antinori

Hiking at Milton Bradley Falls in Polk County

My name is Jodi Antinori, and I teach 7th grade English Language Arts and coach cross country here at ACRMS. I grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and have been in education since 1991 when I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Social Studies Education. My first teaching job was as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Papua New Guinea. I earned my master's degree in Early Adolescent Education  at Bank Street School of Education in New York City in 2003 and have  taught in a variety of settings during my teaching career.

I have lived and worked in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina since 2003. My passion is to build relationships with my students in order to help them become curious, independent learners. I believe that students learn best through active engagement in the classroom, so I do my best to structure interesting, relevant lessons that are accessible to all learners.

I am married with three adult sons, two of whom are UNC graduates (Go Tarheels!) and one who is a student at Randolph Macon College. When not in the classroom I enjoy running, reading, hiking and cooking.
