Coach Chapman

I began teaching at Erwin in 2021 after coaching at Erwin Middle school for 5 years.  My background is in Exercise Science and Nutrition  with a degree from Jacksonville State University, and I now teach Physical Education and Health Education, Advanced PE, and Weights.   After the pandemic hit I felt I had a unique opportunity to change careers and to be more involved in my community.  I've always loved working with youth and sports so I decided to make the switch into teaching.   I'm excited that I'm now a Warrior and I continue to coach and I am the Head Volleyball Coach here. I also assist coaching in wrestling and Softball. 

I use Google Classroom for communication and assignments.  

In my classroom- Students will need to leave cell phones in designated pouches (phones are not allowed in the locker rooms for privacy reasons). And as it is now state law we will not have phones during class times.  Students will need athletic wear and shoes in order to be successful.  A syllabus will be provided on the first day. Locks are availabe for the year to rent for $2.  Locked up items don't go missing!
