Welcome to kindergarten! I am excited to have your child in my classroom this year. Why did I become a teacher? Teaching and loving children is as natural to me as breathing. I have known since I was a child that I wanted to be a teacher. I look forward to a wonderful school year where we learn and grow together.

I have been teaching at Weaverville Primary School since, 1995. I received my education degree at Gardner-Webb University. I obtained my National Board Certification in 2004. I renewed my National Board Certification in 2014.

My philosophy is that every child has something to give the world and has a right to be nurtured and loved. My contribution to education is to help my students discover their special gifts and start them on their educational journey. My accomplishments will be measured by the successes of those children who believed in themselves because they knew I believed in them.
