Jamileh Mikati

I am a first grade teacher at Pisgah Elementary School. I am so thrilled to have your child with me this year as we all learn and grow together. My goal is to build a supportive learning community for each student in my classroom as s/he becomes a lifelong learner.

I have over 31 years of teaching experience. I hold a BA in early childhood education from the Lebanese American University of Beirut, MS in early childhood, and a PhD in multilingual/multicultural education from Florida State University.

I moved to Candler from Florida in 2015 and did not look back. I love living in the mountains and all that offer me and my family. I am married with two children who attend colleges. I enjoy gardening, knitting, and walking.

I am a lifelong learner and looking forward to growing with, learning from, and contributing to the Pisgah community.
