Mr. Trantham
6th Grade ELA/Social Studies Teacher
I began my career as an English and Social Studies teacher for grades 6 to 12 overseas in Vietnam. While there, I was my school's GAC Coordinator, where I supervised high school teachers and oversaw the curriculum. In addition, I was the Head Coach of the boys and girls' U14 and U19 volleyball teams. After spending six years overseas, I returned home to Western North Carolina to teach English and Social Studies at the Henderson County Career Academy until 2022 when I left to join the wonderful staff at JP Eblen Intermediate School.
A native of Western North Carolina, Enka graduate, I earned both at Liberty University, one in History and other in Education and my Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
I enjoy teaching English and Social Studies. With my high school experience, I understand what is needed for your student to enter and graduate from high school and I will do my best to prepare them for their future. I look forward to guiding them to their future.
