Rebecca S. Hefner

When I teach writing, ethical research, and literature, I make what is old new by connecting my subject matter to students’ lives, interests, and their understanding of the world. In my classroom students learn to write with clarity and skillful research without fear of judgement for their independent opinions and perspectives. I teach at BCEC because I believe that a strong education in an environment that is supportive of creative and intellectual risk is the first step to achieving future success.
