Heath Capps

My name is Heath Capps and I am excited about serving students and families at Nesbitt Discovery Academy. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are from the University of Mississippi. I received a B.A. in History (minor in English) and an M.Ed. in Counselor and Leadership Education (school counseling emphasis). I have over 10 years of school counseling experience, as well as three more at a therapeutic boarding school for boys.

I am a proud product of public education! I have always enjoyed school, and serving as a counselor allows me to live and work in a world that I have always thrived in. Working in schools also allows me to be on the same schedule as my family. My twin daughters are aged 9 (fourth graders in BCS) and when we aren't in school, we stay outdoors and on the run, mostly playing soccer!
