EC Teacher

I am so excited for another year at Cane Creek. I have a

BS degree in Elementary education and a Masters in Special Education, as well as ELA add-on.

I love spending time with my kids, going to church, cookouts, swimming, cooking, and sports. I like basketball, football, wrestling, and baseball. I am the head coach for Cross country, Girls Basketball &Track. I have done several Spartan Races before the pandemic. I love spending time with my kids and going on trips with them.

I have an amazing assistant, Lori Bridges. She comes to us with over 15 year experience working with II and behavior students. She began at CCMS in 2003 as a coach and bus driver. She then took at job at ACRMS in 2005 working as an EC assistant. She came to Cane Creek as an EC assistant this past year in 2021. She is a great asset not only to me, my students, but the school.

I believe that all students can learn and each student will learn differently. It is my job to unlock the key to their learning through modifications and accommodations to the curriculum. Students will grow to be prepared for high school both academically and through life skills. My key phrase is "back up and punt". I feel that you have to teach outside of the box and always be willing to back up and change the way you are teaching to meet the needs of your students.

The LMS, learning management systems, we use in our classroom are: Seesaw and Google Classroom.
