Mrs. Bermingham
2nd Grade Dual Language Teacher
I have been teaching at Oakley Elementary since 2014. Prior to this, I taught nine years for Henderson County Schools.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Art Education; and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education.
I am a National Board Certified Teacher.
In 2017, I earned the North Carolina Global Educator Digital Badge.
Why do I teach?
To prepare students for their future and help them gain 21st Century skills.
To expand their knowledge and help them grow.
To help them become bilingual citizens of our world.
To open their minds up to the world around them, outside of the walls of the classroom.
To help my students gain confidence in themselves.
To teach my students how to communicate effectively and work together as a team.
To teach them to accept other people's differences and value cultures different than their own.
To help shape future leaders of our world.
To remind myself, that I too, can change the world.
