I come from a family of teachers, and I'm proud to carry on this tradition of public service.
When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and our two daughters. We enjoy spending time outside, hanging out with friends and family, and finding fun things to do around town.
In my class, we read diverse and powerful literature to study what good writers do, and students practice those skills in their own writing. They are challenged and supported to meet high expectations. Students experience a calm, safe, and respectful environment to engage in open dialogue with one another in the pursuit of learning and growth.
