8th ELA

Welcome to Mrs. Wallin's 8th grade ELA class! We will use Google Classroom daily to view important information, lessons, and assignments. Students will have a spiral notebook for my class in which they will take notes, include foldables, and graphic organizers, and daily bell ringers. Students will also have a two-pocket folder for handouts and other important class information.

We will be using CommonLit and specially designed units that we will follow all year long. Students will complete a variety of reading assignments, vocabulary activities, and writing assignments using CommonLit.

We will have vocabulary quizzes, unit exams, and writing assessments. I will also give a notebook grade each 9 weeks. Students will have the rubric for grading inside their notebook.
