My Name is Donald Witsell. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I have a BA in geography with a minor in history from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia and a M.Ed. from Berry College in Rome, Georgia.
I began my teaching career in 1994 at Cass High School in Bartow County, Georgia. I moved to western North Carolina in 2002. I taught at East Henderson High School in Henderson County from 2002-2008. I have been at Enka High School since 2008. I achieved National Board teacher certification in 2006 and renewed my certification in 2016.
I live in the twin cities of Enka - Candler with my wife, Erica, our son, Clayton, our twins Danny and Sylvia, our cat, and two dogs. I am an avid runner and bicyclist and enjoy photography, reading, chess, learning Spanish and playing guitar and harmonica.
