Welcome Rockets! I'm excited to be your teacher in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, when you choose this Discovery Class elective. We will explore careers through research, discovery and hands-on practice in our Paxton Patterson Lab Classroom.
About me...I grew up in Eastern North Carolina and earned my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at East Carolina University. My professional career, prior to teaching, was in International Business and I have lived in four countries. This is my second year serving at AC Reynolds Middle School. I like to watch movies, travel, drink hot tea, and arts & crafts.
Our Paxton Patterson Lab includes Career Clusters in Criminalistics, Design & Marketing, Emergency & Fire Management, Employability Skills, Health Science, Home Maintenance Fundamentals, Hospitality & Tourism, Intro to Child Development, Intro to Culinary Arts, Occupational Health & Safety- Construction, Structural Engineering and Video Production.
Students will use Infinite Campus to review assignments and grades and the Paxton Patterson learning management system on their laptops each day.
Supplies needed daily in our class: a charged laptop and pencil. Students may bring their headphones (with cord) for learning.

A signed Career Exploration Lab Safety Agreement form is required for students to participate in our lab activities. This will be sent home to families the first week of the semester.
