Doug Jones

I am currently the chairperson of our Social Studies Department and have been teaching at Enka High School since 2003. I specialize in American History, but also enjoy teaching World History, US Government and

I teach several of our social studies Advanced Placement (AP) courses including United States History, Comparative Government (a college-level international studies course) and US Government and Politics. Aside from teaching, I sponsor our Key Club and am an assistant Cross Country coach.

I graduated from UNC Asheville and subsequently earned a Masters degree in US History from Appalachian State University and a Masters degree in Scottish History from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland).
