I have taught science and health in public schools in six states since 1997. The military family life definitely took me to interesting places! I have lived in wonderful Weaverville since 2007.

When I am not working I love to travel here in the United States and abroad. I have been to several countries and I'm already planning more adventures. I find exploring new places and cultures fascinating. This picture was taken with my son Ryan in Norway. I also enjoy hiking, gardening, reading, and engaging in the arts/theater/music.

I have three grown children who are scattered around the country living happy lives.

• Bachelor of Science in Biology and Health Education from the University of Arkansas

• Master’s Degree in Secondary Science from the University of West Florida.
