Greetings!
My name is Elizabeth Rhodes and I have been a school psychologist since 2004, serving Buncombe County Schools since 2020.
I believe that all students deserve an equitable, safe, nurturing, and inspiring educational environment, and I am committed to collaborating with schools and families to support the overall development of our students.
My path to school psychology began when I attended UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Tarheels!) majoring in Elementary Education. Realizing that I wanted to delve deeper into educating diverse learners, I pursued graduate studies at Appalachian State in School Psychology.
For ten years I lived in Raleigh and worked in the Wake County School System. My family then relocated to Chicago in 2014 where my role as a school psychologist was broadened in the Glenview school district. After landing in the beautiful NC mountains, I have been thrilled with the opportunity to get to know the wonderful students, families, and educators in Buncombe County Schools.
When not at school I enjoy outdoor adventures with my husband and two daughters, and spending time with friends exploring the many things Asheville has to offer.
