About Me:
Hello, I'm Coach Cotzin. I teach Sports and Event Marketing and Intro to Computer Science. I am an Erwin High School graduate who loves living in Western North Carolina. After graduating from Erwin High School, I attended Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and then transferred to Appalachian State University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Career Technical Education: Technology, Engineering, and Design.
I love creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment, where I get the privilege to teach and connect with all of my students. I use Canvas in all of my classes.
Wrestling:
Another passion of mine is coaching wrestling! I wrestled at Erwin High School, and chose to carry on the Erwin wrestling legacy through coaching. I love the opportunity I have to inspire and lead my wrestlers to be great athletes and individuals on and off the mat. I coach both Men's and Women's Wrestling. Come see me if you are interested in wrestling, no matter who you are or what your experience level is!

Utilize knowledge of promotion and marketing to create a plan for a unique event. Extrapolate marketing data to make informed communication decisions. Analyze the financial and economic impacts of sports and events. Gain the knowledge and skills for careers in sport and event marketing.
Intro to Computer Science
Explore computing systems, networks, and how the entire computer science ecosystem is part of society. Utilize basic processes to manipulate data and create meaningful visualizations. Understand the basics of programming and what artificial intelligence is. Gain the skills and knowledge for careers in the Computer Science, IT, and Technology pathways.
