Clay Martin

I'm Clay Martin, art teacher at Weaverville Elementary and Weaverville Primary. I've been teaching art at both schools since 2007.

I'm a native of the Asheville area (born in Black Mountain), and I attended Buncombe County Schools growing up. I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Western Carolina University.

I teach art using the T.A.B. (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) method. T.A.B. places great emphasis on student choice in artmaking.

I also run the WEAVERWOOD Film and Drama club afterschool at WVES. Each year we make an original short film starring WVES students.

I love the Weaverville community and I love seeing the creativity of my students!
