Claire Patterson

I am so happy to be a part of the amazing team here at Oakley Elementary! This will be my fifth year teaching and first at Oakley.  I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. Since moving here in 2020, I have enjoyed hiking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and experiencing Asheville's fantastic music scene. 

I am a graduate from the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music, where I studied Film & Music Production and Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on getting my Master's of Arts in Teaching degree at UNC Pembroke. Something I love about teaching is helping to foster my students' skills in creativity, independence, and confidence.
