Ms. Casey Fender

Welcome to 1st grade!

I am Ms. Fender and I have been teaching at North Buncombe Elementary since 2021. I attended Kindergarten through 12th grade in the Buncombe County school system. After graduating high school, I attended Western Carolina University (WCU) and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of grade levels while attending WCU and I am looking forward to work with your student this year! I have always enjoyed working with students and helping them grow in their learning.

In our classroom we will be using Seesaw as our online tool for learning. On days that school is closed due to weather and remote learning is to be done, all work will be uploaded to Seesaw for your student to complete. I will also be using ClassDojo as a communication tool in cases where I need to send out any information throughout the school year.
