I grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, an hour northwest of Chicago. During high school, I took four years of Spanish classes. It was during this time that I developed a passion for teaching and learning languages. During my undergraduate program at the University of Illinois, I studied Spanish and Latin American literature and culture in San Joaquin de Flores, Costa Rica. I later returned to Costa Rica to teach for two years at The Cloud Forest School in Monteverde. I have additional teaching experience in Illinois, Colorado, and North Carolina. I am very happy to have joined the faculty at A.C. Reynolds High School in 2024!
