Welcome to sixth grade! This year (2023-2024) is my sixth year teaching. My first four years were spent at Enka Intermediate School before moving to North Windy Ridge in 2022. I have taught both fifth and sixth grade ELA and Social Studies, two years of fifth and three years of sixth.

I love teaching here at North Windy Ridge! I grew up in the North Buncombe district and I went to school here at North Windy Ridge. After graduating from North Buncombe High School, I went on to Mars Hill University, graduating with a degree in Middle Grades Education. I also teach dance at Dimensions Studio of Weaverville. I currently live in Marshall with my husband, Sam, and our three cats: Jane, Lou, and Noodle.

A few of my favorite things

I took dance for 13 years at Weaverville Dance Academy.
I swam competitively from 5th grade to 11th grade.
I went to Barnardsville Elementary School.
I met my husband at North Buncombe Middle School- we were in the same homeroom in 7th grade.
The classroom I teach in was my 6th grade math class when I went to school here.
I choreographed the North Buncombe Youth Theater's production of Annie Jr. in 2022.
