Byron Browne

I am an artist and teacher currently living in Asheville, NC working in photography, sculpture, and installation. I received my BFA in photography from UNCA in 2009. Originally from Tidewater - Norfolk, VA, I moved to the mountains of Asheville, NC in 2002. In the past I have spent my time cross-country bicycling, thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, working as an arts and photography teacher at summer camps. I am a licensed North Carolina K-12 Art Teacher and work to bring student interests to life through creative teaching and art making. My most recent collaborative and personal artwork includes installation pieces at the Black Mountain College Museum’s Re-happening, the Asheville Darkroom’s Silverspace gallery, and at our personal arts studio with my partner at Glowspace Arts in Swannatopia.
