A. Brooks Benedict

Greetings!

I am fortunate enough to have landed back to where I grew up but not after several adventures. After graduating high school, I finished college at Warren Wilson College. My background includes Outdoor Education and Living in Ecuador, South America as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Eventually, I made my way to the DC area for my Master's in International Education. My experience came from 10 years in Middle School ESL and High School. Never forgetting my need for exploring other countries, I moved to Beijing, China to teach for three years. During COVID, I found myself back here and have now come full circle from where I started.

I adore Middle School aged humans. My time is spent building as much rapport as possible with each student in order to see the best from them. I learn from them as much as I teach them. This is my 16th year of teaching.
