Mrs. Brittany Whitson

Hello NBES!

I have been teaching at North Buncombe Elementary School since 2022. Prior to teaching at NBES, I taught at Leicester Elementary School. I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade and Special Education grades K-4. I attended Mars Hill University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Integrated Education. I currently hold a teaching license in both Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). I'm currently working on my Masters Degree in School Administration through Western Carolina University.

I love teaching and learning together with my students! I always tell my students that I learn as much from them as they learn from me. I strive to have a fun but safe and productive learning environment for all of my students. In my classroom we will utilize both Seesaw and Google Classroom as our learning management systems.
