Welcome to my site!
My name is Brian Barnhouse. I started my teaching career in 2011 in Florida. I have been teaching at AC Reynolds since 2021. I have taught every math course from Math 1 (Algebra 1) through Calculus and Statistics at the college level. I have even collaborated in writing textbooks, workbooks, and curriculum . I LOVE math and teaching math; I try to make it fun, authentic, and applicable to each student's life.
I am currently teaching MAT 171 - Precalculus Algebra, MAT 152 - Introduction Statistics, Precalculus w/ Honors, and Math 3 where we use the Moodle for the MAT courses and use Canvas for Precalc and Math 3.
I am originally from Missouri where I got my teaching credentials and B.S. in Mathematics at Southwest Baptist University. I received my Master's of Math Education from Missouri State University. I also have a Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Teacher Leadership in School Improvement from the University of Florida.
