Beth Ammons

       Growing up in Western NC, I always loved art and the outdoors.  I studied both while earning an undergraduate degree in Biology and Art at Wake Forest University and a Masters Degree in Art Education from Tufts University/The School for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.  I have taught for 20+ years with certifications in Art, Biology and AIG. 

       I taught in Boston, Atlanta, and Chicago before returning to the NC mountains. I am excited to get reacquainted with the Asheville area as I work with K-4th graders at Sand Hill-Venable Elementary School.  

       I still love to draw and paint, and most of my artwork is inspired by my love of travel and nature.  I love teaching art because I get to combine all of the different subjects in fun projects students will remember.  Creative projects in school always gave me a passion for learning, and I hope my students have a similar experience!
