Benjamin Sharp

Benjamin Sharp: Orchestra teacher at CCMS, ACRHS, ACRMS, and NDA

Bio: This is my first year teaching in public school but I have taught private lessons on violin, viola, and cello for 10 years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance for cello at UNCG. As a cellist all I have performed all across North Carolina and Tennessee. I have performed with Western Piedmont Symphony, Fayetteville Symphony, Symphony of the Mountains, and recently got a position performing with the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra. I also regularly play for weddings and special events, and have performed with various famous artists. The largest crowd I have ever played with was over 10,000 people! Of course I love to perform, but teaching music to middle and high school students is my passion!

Classroom Technology: Orchestra class will rarely use technology as the course is entirely hands-on. Occasionally we will use Google Classroom and when school is online due to snow I will be posting the assignments to Google Classroom.
