I'm a career teacher; I've been teaching social studies since 2010. I've taught World History, American History, AP-US History, AP-European History, and AP-Human Geography
I've always had a love of books, movies, and the past and love to share my random knowledge with whoever is interested. Especially if it's about Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel/DC comics, US Presidents, WWII...etc.
I am from eastern North Carolina (Washington, NC) and have lived in Asheville for over 10 years. I went to Beaufort County public schools and became a North Carolina Teaching Fellow in 2006.
I student taught at TC Roberson and graduated from Appalachian State in 2010, Sec. History Education.
I teach because I love the relationships formed with students over the course of the school year. I love learning new stuff, and I love sharing what I know about history to help students do the same!
I love to travel and take students on international trips and have led several tours since my time at Roberson...France, Italy, Ireland, the UK, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
I will use Google Classroom and Remind as a way to keep up with my students and contact them
