I began my teaching journey in 2016 as a post-baccalaureate from UNC Asheville. I was hired at ACRMS for the 2017-2018 school year after earning my license to teach Middle School Science and Social Studies. I have lived in the Asheville area since 2005 and strive to bring Asheville's unique and supportive community into our public schools.

I look forward to creating a positive and safe learning environment that is built on trust, communication, and routine. My class focuses on learning through exploration, inquiry and hands-on activities. We will strive to build critical thinking skills that will prepare students for the future. I believe in pushing students to be the best they can be and hold high expectations for each of my students within their learning styles. I expect student's in our classroom to hold me to the same standards and look forward to learning and creating together!
