Anna Brawley

I have been teaching at Community High since the Fall of 2010 and I thoroughly love teaching here! I am the head of the Social Studies Department and I teach the new Civic Literacy and American History courses.

I am also a photographer and love using art in my classroom as much as possible. I believe that images bring history to life in ways that the textbooks can't touch. Primary Sources, or first hand accounts of historical events, are another way that I try to bring history to life for my students. There is so much to learn from the past!

The last thing to know about me is I am kind of allergic to the world, well the sun and everything under it, thus my classroom is a fragrance free zone so I don't have an asthma attack. If you feel the need to reapply your body spray, perfume, even scented hand sanitizer wait until after my class is over and you are down the hall from my room. I do keep unscented lotion, hand sanitizer, and deodorant in case you are desperate.
