I am excited to be teaching Spanish this year at Nesbitt Academy. I’ve taught both Spanish and French at the University and high school levels and have a doctorate in Romance Languages and Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in History and French from Georgetown University. I’ve lived in France, Switzerland, and Spain, and truly enjoy leading study abroad programs over the summer. I have previously accompanied students to Spain, Mexico, and France. In addition to teaching I have worked with immigrants and asylum seekers in the United States and abroad. Outside of teaching, I enjoy photography, art, baking baguettes, cycling and wandering around cities with my camera.
This year I will be teaching SPA111, SPA112, and SPA211 through ABTech, and Spanish 1 and 2.
