Amy Lunsford

My name is Amy Lunsford and I am the school media coordinator (librarian) at Woodfin Elementary.  I have a Bachelor's of Science degree, history and business administration, from Western Carolina University and a Master's of Library Science, school media, from North Carolina Central University. I have had the pleasure to  teach at Woodfin Elementary since 2011.  In December 2022, I became a National Board Certified Teacher. I am happiest when I am reading aloud to children or helping them research and develop critical thinking skills.

I am proud that my own children have attended Woodfin their entire elementary years. I love this little community school and that I know every student's name.  I am thrilled when former Woodfin students come back to visit; so stop on by for a hug and to catch up!
