Hi! I have been teaching for Buncombe County schools since 1998 (WOW! That's a long time). I began my teaching career at Emma Elementary in West Asheville. I spent a few years working as a Behavior Specialist before coming to teach at Fairview in 2007.

I grew up in Haywood County and graduated from Tuscola High School. I then attended Western Carolina University where I graduated with a degree in special education in 1998.

My family and I call Fairview home. We moved to the Fairview community in the fall of 2007. My Husband, Travis, graduated from AC Reynolds High in 1994. My Son, Grant, went through Fairview, Cane Creek and is now a Reynolds Rocket. My daughter, Izzy, attends Fairview. As a family we enjoy camping, Appalachian State Football, and attending the various sporting events our kids are involved in.

I love working with children. Seeing the "light come on" is what motivates me to come to work everyday. Working with students with special needs can be challenging but seeing the progress they make daily, weekly, monthly and yearly makes it all worth while.
