Amy Matthews Trull

My name is Amy Trull, and I will be your child’s English teacher this semester. I have been teaching in Buncombe County Schools since 2012. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a dual degree in English Education and English Literature. I am also a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. I graduated from Enka High School in 2009, and I was raised an Enka Jet my whole life. I am so excited to be in my home school and teaching your students this year.

English has always been my favorite subject and I hope that I can instill some of that love (or at least appreciation) in your child. Through reading he/she does in the classroom, I hope to show how the works can apply to their own lives. I also hope to show every student how the writing they do is preparing them for their future in college and in any job situation they may go in to. Above all, I want to show students that they can succeed in the classroom and that they can excel in all they do.
