Mrs. Amy Boswell

8th Grade Social Studies

Hey there! My name is Amy Boswell and this will be my 20th year teaching in North Carolina. I taught ELA for nine years at Canton Middle School and was Lead Teacher for four years as well. This will be my seventh year at Enka Middle School. I am very proud to be a Jet.

I grew up in Sarasota, Florida, where I graduated from Sarasota High School. Go Sailors! I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida in Tampa. I also played collegiate softball for USF as well.

After graduating from college, I was fortunate to play professional softball for two seasons with the Georgia Pride. It was there in Columbus, GA, where I met my husband who stationed at Fort Benning as an Army Ranger.

In 2002, I earned my NC Teaching Certificate and Master's Degree from Western Carolina University.

I look forward to teaching 8th grade Social Studies! History is actually the subject that led me to teach in the first place! I have always been fascinated by events of the past and how these events have brought us to the present! It is one amazing story after another!!

Some, but not all of our assignments will be found on Google Classroom. I'm old fashioned so I like to use good old paper and pencil.

Besides the classroom, you can also find me on the softball field as Head Coach for the Sugar Jets!
