Please find here a list of agencies and churches helping families with needs for the coming holidays.
Please sign up for assistance with only ONE agency for each holiday to ensure that resources can be spread throughout our community.
Contact our school social worker or your school counselor if your family has ongoing needs that we might be able to assist you with.

Eblen Charities: Friday, November 21 Meal Give Away 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Ingles South Forest Shopping Center, 780 Hendersonville Rd. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Sign up online beginning on October 27, 2025
Giving Thanks at Thanksgiving | Eblen Charities
Blue Mountain Pizza: Every year, Blue Mountain Pizza hosts a free Thanksgiving meal for the community. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
Georgetown Baptist Ministries: We’re giving away Thanksgiving dinner boxes, including a turkey breast, on Tuesday, November 11!
Location: 464 Dix Creek NO. 1 Rd Leicester, NC 28748
Parking lot opens at 6:00 PM
The parking lot will be roped off and distribution will be first come, first served.
Please remember: Do NOT line up in the road.
Volunteers will be directing traffic, and everyone must remain in their cars during pickup.

Christmas Angel Tree: Go in person to the office M-F between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to fill out an application. You must bring your social security card and have the social security numbers for each of the children for whom you will be requesting gift assistance. 403 Weaverville Rd, Asheville, NC 28804
Big Ivy Community Center- Applications were due on 10/31/25
For Families living in Barnardsville only. You can stop by the community center or request an application from Mrs. Greene

Appalachian Christmas Minstry CLOSED on NOVEMBER 14
Food and Coat/Blanket Distribution: Wednesday, November 26 | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Come receive free food, coats, and blankets to help prepare for the winter season.
Community Christmas Party: Saturday, November 29 | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Enjoy a festive time of fun, food, and fellowship! Children will receive Christmas gifts (children must be present to receive their gift).
