Allison Snyder

Hello! I am a third grade teacher at Weaverville Elementary School. I grew up in the Raleigh area and moved here for college. I competed on my colleges Division I swim team and student taught at Weaverville Elementary.  I love our school and enjoy teaching in our beautiful mountains.

SNOW DAY LEARNING

Day 1: Asynchronous:

Send parents math problems and writing prompts to answer with paper and pencil.

Needed: Parent communication platform, student to have paper and pencil.

Day 2 – Synchronous: 

10:00-11:00 ELA and Content Google Meet and help session

1:00-2:00 Math and Specials Google Meet and help session

In the case that we have a threat of inclement weather, we will send home student devices and chargers.

If we miss school due to inclement weather, the first day will be asynchronous. 

On asynchronous learning days, we will post work on google classroom under the classwork tab. 

They will get there by:

Google Meet Expectations:

For ELA, assign passages and questions relevant to current standards/ subjects from WIT and Wisdom. Review work from the day before and give more practice with math for current unit. Content can be the current topic being studied.

Needed: Parent communication platform, parent device /hopefully a student computer if we know ahead of time, student to have paper and pencil.

Attendance is counted two days after return with work Packet/Assignments turned in:

Students turn in work packets they have completed with paper/pencil on the first or second full day back to school.

If students do not attend a session, they can complete the additional assignments and turn them in the second full day back to school.
