Science Teacher
Mrs. Houle with her family hiking at Letchworth State Park in New York.
Mrs. Houle (she/her/hers)
A native to Rochester, NY, Mrs. Houle went to public schools in New York and then moved to Asheville to attend Warren Wilson College where she earned her degree in Environmental Science!
Mrs. Houle has been teaching science since 2012.
In her spare time, Mrs. Houle loves to bake muffins and cakes, go hiking, camping and jumping in rivers with her family, travel to new places to check out science museums and zoos, play with her daughter and watch Disney movies whenever possible!
Mrs. Houle comes from a long line of teachers - her grandmother, mom, brother and sister are or were all teachers. As a kid she spent her summers at an environmental science summer camp and eventually was a counselor at the camp! This is where she got her first taste of teaching. Though teaching environmental education at a summer camp is pretty different than teaching in a school, Mrs. Houle learned that she loved working with youth and opening their eyes to the natural world. That's why she became a teacher and to this day you will find Mrs. Houle doing as much fun, outdoor lessons as she is able!
Mrs. Houle uses GOOGLE CLASSROOM as her LMS!
