Karina Padilla

Hi! My name is Ms. Padilla. I will be your kindergarten teacher. I am certain that our year will be filled with love, learning, excitement, laughter, and many adventures.

I have been a Candler Cat since 2016. Prior to Candler Elementary, I worked at Sand Hill Venable with Title 1.

In addition to teaching, I am also a Sergeant First Class in our National Guard. I joined the military at the age of 17 and am part of the 105^th EN BN in Raeford, NC.

I moved to the mountains to attend school in 2010. I graduated from Mars Hill University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Prior to Mars Hill, I received my Associates degree in criminal justice from A-B Tech.

I was born and raised in Mexico until the 2^nd grade. Most of my family lives there, so I visit as often as I can. I come from a big family and spending time with them is one of my favorite things to do. In addition to family time, I love hiking and being outside, especially with my dog, Sonny.
