Mrs. Adriana Velasquez

I joined North Buncombe Elementary on 2021 as Spanish Dual Immersion teacher for 2nd grade. I decided to become a teacher because a love being part of kids growing, and helping them to discover new skills and improve their abilities. I received my Teacher's Diploma in Colombia (where I am from), and I've been involved in kids development since then.

In my free time I enjoy walking, reading, working out and spending time with my family. I love taking care of plants, so I am collecting some at home. I also love nature, I was born in a mountainous region of the Andes, and living in the Asheville area makes me feel I'm close to my home.

I’m looking forward to a fun year of learning and growing together.
