Reefscape Rules and Point Scoring
Reefscape Rules and Point Scoring
An Overview of Reefscape
Components
Algae sits on the reef and can be picked up by the robots to score into the processor or directly into the barge.
Coral can be given to the robot by a human player, which the robot can use to place it on the reef.
Humans stand by the processers to pick up and throw the algae that is placed in there by robots. Algae can also be throw into the barge by robots but will not count towards Cooperation(explained further down)
This is where the robots place the coral for points, the higher they are placed the more points are awarded. Coral will not be scored if there is an algae blocking it. Robots can pick up or knock algae off the reef.
Before the start of a match, a team can decide whether they want a deep or shallow cage for their robot. The deep cage is closer to the ground and is worth more points, while the shallow cage is higher and worth less points. The robot must be completely off the ground before the end of the match for a climb to count.
When two algae is scored into the barge via placing it in processer, the amount of coral needed to gain a ranking point decreases.
