1st Year

For my first year, I began developing an economic analysis project with the aim of determining how nuclear microreactors (very small nuclear reactors that can fit in a shipping container) could be implemented in urban areas, such as New York City. I planned to run the experiment by simulating the possible cost distributions for 3 upcoming microreactor models, and comparing the results to the current cost of electricity in New York City. I then also presented my research plan and hypothetical results at the Somers Science Fair by creating a poster.
