+ Are English and HSE classes free?
YES. English classes and HSE classes are free.
+ Can I register for English class?
YES. English classes and HSE classes are free.
+ What do I bring for registering?
If you are registering for ELL (English) classes, you don't have to bring anything.
If you are registering for HSE classes and are 16-17 years old, you MUST bring an exit form from your previos high school. If you are over 18, you do not need to bring an exit form from your previous high school. Please bring a state photo ID for registering. You will have to pre-pay for the HSE exam.
+ How do I reschedule my orientation if I can't make it?
If you are unable to make it to your scheduled orientation, please call McDowell and ask to speak with Debbie Pogue. She is the Orientations Coordinator and will set up a better suitable date and time for both McDowell and you.
+ Does McDowell have a copy of my diploma?
No. Mcdowell does not keep copies or any forms of diploma. You must go to: https://diplomasender.com to order your diploma.
+ What do I do if I can't make it to class?
Please, let your instructor of the day know you will be absent, so they can mark it on their attendance papers.
+ How long will it take me to get my HSE diploma or pass an ELL level?
That all depends on you as the learner.
If you are able to dedicate time to your learning and improving while doing so, you will be more efficient in your learning process. If you take breaks or aren't as consistent with your learning, it will take you much longer.
