General Information

school supplies

Please send your child's supplies to school in a plastic bag, labeled with first and last name, and in their original packaging. Pencil boxes should be empty. I will add supplies to pencil boxes as I introduce them so as not to overwhelm students, and also to preserve space in pencil boxes. Thank you!

Supply List:

2 boxes Crayola crayons (24 count)

2 boxes Crayola markers (washable)

2 boxes Crayola skinny markers (washable)

1 package Ticonderoga pencils

1 package Expo Dry Erase Markers

6 large Elmers’ glue sticks

1 package Papermate Flair Pens (any color except yellow)

Kids scissors

Pencil box

Water bottle

Headphones (no earbuds)

Paint shirt

Gym shoes (Velcro)

*Headphones, pencil box, water bottle, paint shirt, and gym shoes do not need to be in original packaging, but should be labeled with first and last name.

snacks

Students will need TWO snacks every day (one for morning and one for afternoon). Please make sure these are simple and healthy snacks your child can open independently and eat quickly. Please keep your child's snacks separate from their lunch (if they are bringing a lunch from home) as it is hard for kindergarteners to differentiate between their snacks and lunch.

absent/tardy

If your child will be absent or tardy, please call the school at 878.6300. This is a 24 hour line, so you can call in at any time. Please report your child absent or tardy by 8:00 am on the day your child will be missing school or late. If the school does not receive a phone call excusing a student's absence or tardy, a phone call will be generated to your main phone number via our School Messenger system.

label everything

Please label ALL items sent from home with your child's name, as things can be misplaced or forgotten quite easily. This will be very helpful in locating your child's belongings should they get misplaced.

vip (very important papers) folders

Your child will bring their VIP folder home every day. It is very important for you to look through this folder and empty it every night, and return it to school the following day.

Extra clothes

Occasionally, accidents happen. Your child needs to have an extra set of clothes (shirts, pants, underwear, and socks) placed in a Ziploc bag to be kept in their locker. Please put their name on the ziploc bag.

going home

If your child will be going home from school a different way than they typically do, I MUST be notified of this change in routine. If I am not notified, your child will be sent home their typical way for safety reasons.
