Impact on the library program and students and/or teachers:
Students were able to connect the concept of "fake news" to COVID-19 and other current news.
Google Jamboard was used during the live instruction portion of the lesson to engage students and serve as a social-emotional learning component. Modeling and the use of text-dependent questions were also incorporated.
Using the same format being used for all other BCPS instruction, made it familiar to students and teachers.
Lesson was in a form that can stand alone if a student misses an online session.
LMS remained a visible instructional partner.
