Provide digital resources aligned to CALS health content for remote learning.
Align content between Tumble Book Library and Brain Pop Jr. in order to create a balanced lesson at a level that is accessible to CALS students.
Highlight digital content that is less frequently accessed or elements of popular digital content that are infrequently used (everyone knows about the Brain Pop videos, but they forget about the other rich resources.)
Translation of Practice alignment:
Domain 1: Planning & Preparation
1.4 Supports teachers with digital resources related to specific units upon request and proactively reaches out to teachers to support their instruction.
The screencast below is a walk through one sample CALS lesson on Handwashing using Tumblebook Library and Brain Pop Jr.
Models/Examples:
MS CALS Health Lessons in Schoology
Tools/Resources:
Tumble Book Library (in Elementary Digital Content)
Brain Pop Jr. (in Elementary Digital Content)
Impact on the library program and students and/or teachers:
Requests for continued collaboration with CALS staff.
"A-ha" moment for teacher who was unaware of some of the resources and a request to show him more.
If continuing with remote learning, request for some support for parents on how to navigate the sites with their student.
