Concessions Pre-Order: If you pre-ordered concessions we will give you your students concession vouchers at registration. They will be able to present that at the concession stand for their meal.
Concessions: Our band booster parents have set up a great concession stand menu, complete with Vito’s Pizza, an area favorite. Please do not tailgate or bring in outside food. Both cash and card are accepted. There is a $5 minimum transaction on card purchases.
Bake Sale: We will have a separate area set up as a bake sale where we will have all sorts of homemade goods from fudge to cakes and cookies. Both cash and card are accepted. There is a $5 minimum transaction on card purchases.

Water Stations: We will have water stations available for students in the warm-up area and as they exit the field.
Facility Map: Our map for the Cavalier Classic has been updated to show our new path for bands and equipment. Band members will be entering from the back right of the field from our baseball field. Band Hosts/Guides will walk bands from the warm-up areas (A & B on the map) around our dugouts and onto the baseball field. Members will have to navigate through a gate. I recommend single file lines as we move through this area.. Once you enter the baseball field, feel free to put your students in more lines if needed. The gates from the baseball field to the football field are wide and tall. Pit equipment and props will be dropped off in the same location. We have several large red mats that will be available for equipment to be pushed across the track to the field. I will have students and parents available to help move equipment across the track. If you arrive early please feel free to stage props early and pick them up at performance time.
Driving Directions from 81: From South 81 - Take the 150B exit and make a right before the traffic circle. Take a Right at the light on 220. From North 81 - Take exit 150B and continue on 220. When you pass Kroger on the left, move to the left lane. Please have your buses and equipment vehicles make a left onto Tinker Mill Rd (passed First Bank and before the school). After turning on Tinker Mill you will make the first right and follow the road to the front of the school. Equipment vehicles will be directed to one of the parking areas. For those that use a semi-truck for equipment, please direct your semi-truck drivers to enter the school's second entrance on 220, our northern most entrance across from Advance Auto Parts and the Post Office. They will not turn where the buses turn. Our band booster parents will open that parking area when they arrive.
ADA Parking: Please share this with your parents. Our school is located on a hill that I have the privilege of logging 10,000+ steps a day on. Even our practice field has a slight left to right slope. Luckily, the football field is great! This makes handicap accessibility challenging to say the least. Please direct any parents that need assistance to follow the same directions we provided for the buses (above). That parking lot is by our softball field and near our football field. We will have golf cart shuttles leaving from that parking lot to the stadium regularly. Part of our construction this year at the football field included improved handicap accessibility. Spectators attending will use our golf cart shuttles and be taken to the front of our field house where there is a paved path to a viewing platform with a ramp. Also, if you have any students or staff that need assistance with transportation around the venue, please let me know. We have more than enough golf carts and can arrange something to fit your needs.
Registration: When your buses enter the property they will follow the road around the back of the building to their assigned parking location. Our registration table will be set-up at the front entrance to the building. Wrist bands will be available for band staff, pit crew, chaperones, bus drivers, performers, and anyone arriving on band transportation. If you happen to need additional wrist bands because of a pit crew member arriving late, please let me know.
Spectator Parking: Spectator parking will be located on the South side of the school closest to the our stone marquee. If spectators require assistance getting to the field please direct them to our ADA parking area. They can also ask for transportation from the main parking area. They simply need to see one of our parking attendants.
Guides: Student Guides will be assigned to each band. They will meet you at registration when your buses pull into the front loop and will be available to assist you throughout your time on campus.
Warm-up: Each band will be assigned a warm up area. Please use this space in your scheduled time slot. If you would like to do a visual warmup prior to this, please find a patch of grass not within the official warm up areas.
Field Entry/Exit: Field entry will be back right corner (Side B) facing the field from the press box. Field exit will be from the same location.
Director and Staff Hospitality: We offer a great hospitality area for Directors and Band Staff located near the field. This year it will be just past our souvenir trailer outside of the fence surrounding the field.
Bus Drivers: Bus Drivers and Band Pit Crews will be provided with 1 meal voucher for the concession stand. Please direct parent “pit crew” to the concessions area. These folks will be given a wristband along with the meal voucher.
Changing areas/restrooms: Restroom areas will be available in our building on the bus parking side of the complex for changing. Our changing areas are not very spacious, so we need to limit this use as much as possible.
Judges' Comments: Judges' comments will be shared with you through a Dropbox Folder after the competition is over. More than likely the comments will be put in the folder on the following day. We do not have wifi at our field limiting how quickly we can get that information to you.
Inclement Weather: Not going to happen. It's going to beautiful. Shhhh...the trees will be gorgeous.
Davian Darnell Rose Percussion Award: As some of you may know we lost our percussion instructor in January of last year. He meant a great deal to our program and to many programs in our area. The boosters added a new award last year in his honor. At this time, his family is planning to be there to help present the award. We will take a few moments during the awards to describe the award and to present it in his honor. I just wanted to make you aware of that addition.
