The Botetourt County School’s Student Assistance Program recognizes that a student’s academic success could be directly impacted by their mental health and other life stressors. To help students at risk, the Student Assistance Program provides prevention, early intervention, post intervention, and support services to promote academic achievement, personal growth, and well-being. While the Student Assistance Program is not able to provide diagnosis or long-term treatment services, it is our goal to assist students and their families through a collaborative effort of support through individual and group counseling opportunities as well as referrals to appropriate community resources.

Hi! My name is Ashley Hatcher and I am the Student Assistance Program Counselor for Botetourt County Public Schools. It is my pleasure to offer resources and support to our students, staff, families, and community.
