Fourth Grade
These first weeks of school are a huge transition for everyone, kids and adults. We will take it nice and slow learning classroom rules and procedures. We will get to know each other with some fun activities and focus on building relationships. We will review some old third grade skills and start right in on our 4th grade curriculum.
Now, enjoy a few laughs below with some pictures from when I was a fourth grader! HAHA! I was in fourth grade in 1998-1999. I went to Troutville Elementary, which is a hop, skip, and jump away from Greenfield. My teacher was Mrs. Gluth. She taught me how to use my time wisely (a saying your children will hear from me often). You can thank Mrs. Gluth for that special quality/saying of mine! Enjoy :)
Be Brave–Be Bold–Have Perseverance
About me
I am 34 years old and starting my 13th year of teaching. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. My husband, Justin, works in banking and I have three children. My son Jack is a third grader, my daughter Andi is in second grade, and my other daughter Quinn will be 1 in October. We have a 3 year old dog, Izzy and an 11 year old cat Penny. I am finishing up my Master’s Degree in Teaching from Hollins University. I attended Roanoke College and Lord Botetourt High School. I love spending my free time at home and enjoy outdoor activities on the weekends. I am an avid sports enthusiast and spend Sunday afternoons watching my Pittsburgh Steelers play football. I also love to read, dabble in art, like to meditate, and play all the time with my energetic kiddos at home. One of my favorite times of the year is May, because my family and I get to watch lots of college softball. Go Noles!
